Our Story: From Discovery to Delight

About a decade ago, we bought a charming house in the heart of Stowe, Vermont, seeking a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature's beauty. Little did we know, our new backyard held a sweet secret that would change our lives.

While exploring our property, we discovered a grove of sugar maple trees. Intrigued by the possibilities - and coupled with the fact that we all loved maple syrup - we decided to tap these trees and venture into the world of maple sugaring. With a mix of excitement and curiosity, we purchased the necessary equipment and embarked on our maple syrup journey.

Our first season was filled with learning and experimentation. We tapped nine trees, collected the sap in buckets, and boiled it down over an open fire in our backyard. The process was labor-intensive, but the reward was worth every moment. The rich, golden syrup we produced was unlike anything we had ever tasted—pure, authentic, and full of the essence of Vermont.

What started as a backyard experiment quickly turned into a passion. We refined our techniques, invested in better equipment, and expanded our operations, all while staying true to the traditional methods that make our syrup special. Each season, we look forward to the first tap, the first boil, and the first taste of our handcrafted syrup.

Today, Gold Brook Maple stands as a testament to our love for maple syrup and the incredible journey that began in our own backyard. We are proud to share the fruits of our labor with you, bringing the pure, natural flavor of Vermont's maple forests to your table.
